Once with him was never enough. I am the girl you dislike. The girl you snub at parties. I am the one who flirts with men and knows no boundaries. I am the one you whisper about. The one who has no rules. I am the one who takes and uses without any regret or excuses. On the outside I am perfect. I have money, looks, and a personality that makes people stand up and take notice, but on the inside I am broken and hurting. Then I met Cash Marshall. He wasn’t what I needed, but I wanted him anyway. It was Cash’s carved, muscular body I thought about. It was his cool, confident touch I craved. I swore he would only be a one-night stand, another distraction to take away the pain. But then our world changed. Our story is not about love. Love is pretty and sweet and full of niceties. Those no longer exist. Our story is about finding each other again in a world gone crazy. It’s about surviving the impossible when war ravaged our land. It’s about saving each other from the darkness and finding out just how strong we could be. And maybe, just maybe, along the way, we’ll find love… Once and for all. goodreads

I waited forever for this book, and finally we got it. If you've read the previous book's in this series, then you know what you're in for. I love the situation these book's hold. The world falling apart. Life as you know it is over. It's survive, fight or die. It's everyone for their self.

In Promise Me Once, we follow well to do, little miss rich girl Cat. And the rugged, sexy, hard working cowboy Cash.

Cat is running away from her past, the memories and nightmares, by drowning her self in alcohol, and giving herself to any guy, just to forget. But meeting Cash will change everything.

" She looked like an angel but I wanted to love her like the devil even if it meant damning my own soul."- Cash

Both Cash and Cat will have to fight for their lives, survive the terrorist that took over America. Cat will become a different girl, not the easy girl she once was.

Cash will harden, turn to a savage and is determined to find his sister. He's gave up hope of knowing about Cat, the girl he had one date with, but made him feel more in that one night than his whole life.

" You did something to me, Cash, and I haven’t recovered."- Cat

Will Cash find what he's sat out for? Can Cat survive this new life? The world is in chaos, it's time to fight.

When I started this book, I was a bit let down. It didn't start our fast like Promise me Darkness. The fall out doesn't happen immediately, it takes time to get there. Not until 42% in does everything happen. In this book, we actually get to see what's going on in the world. No guessing. While reading their story, I try to put myself in their shoes. How would I act and be if the world we know crumbled? We get both characters povs, see what they're battling. I had to stop and think about one scene particular. You haven't had a real bath in three-year's, you're dirty, but you go at it. That's just tuck, lol. I love this world Paige Weaver made. It's so different than other book's out there. I'm a huge fan of this series and hoping we don't have to wait forever for the next, like we had to for this one.

PMO Excerpt Reveal Part four   I licked my dry lips. “In me.”
With one hard thrust, he impaled himself into me.
I cried out, throwing my head back. Oh, Jesus. He was big and wide… Oh, god. His cock was so long and thick that I felt torn in half. There was pain and there was pleasure. I knew what we were doing might have repercussions I may not be able to handle later, but I didn’t give a damn. He felt good inside me.
He withdrew then thrust back into me hard. So fucking hard. It made me moan and whimper, hating the exquisite torture but suddenly addicted to it.
My body clutched his as it pounded in and out of it. I cried out as he moved faster, biting my lip until I tasted blood.
His hand snapped out and grabbed the back of my neck, yanking my mouth to his and silencing my cries. He started plunging into me, going harder and deeper. Picking up speed and destroying my pussy.
I whimpered and gasped, holding onto him for dear life. He held me tightly, controlling my body and taking what he demanded. His hips jerked against me, driving his hardness into me roughly. He wasted no time and he wasn’t gentle. That cowboy was gone. The man that was fucking me was brutal, passionate, and fierce.
And, god, he was killing me.
As if he could read my mind, he suddenly slowed down. He tore his mouth from mine, sliding his cock into me. “Open your eyes.”
I did, slowly lifting my eyelids. What I saw was the mirror behind him - the one on the opposite wall. I saw him between my legs, his jeans around his hips as he moved in and out of me.
“You see us, sweetheart?” he asked, pulling out then sinking deep inside.
I nodded, unable to talk. Unable to think straight.
“Good. Keep your eyes open. I want you to remember who’s in you. Someone like me.”
He slammed into me again, picking up speed. He took possession of my mouth once more. His kiss was hard and fast, matching his cock thrusting in and out me. He held me tight and drove into me faster and faster like he couldn’t get enough.
I gasped against his mouth and rocked against his body, feeling the ecstasy build in me. He pumped harder and harder, sensing I was almost there. My orgasm built. When it hit me, I screamed.
Cash swallowed the sound with his mouth, owning it and damn well taking it. His hands dropped down to my hips, holding them steady as he raced for the finish line too.
His fingers dug into my skin as he slammed into me. Once. Twice. “Oh, fuck!” He growled against my mouth and thrust deep, going suddenly still.
We stayed that way forever - him between my legs and his dick buried deep inside me. We breathed hard. Every inch of me pulsated, each nerve ending awake.
Slowly, I became conscious of the coldness of the granite counter under my bottom and the muted sounds of the restaurant in the distance. I saw his backside nestled between my legs in the mirror. A stranger’s ass between my thighs. It was a harsh wakeup call. One I didn’t want to face.

Promise Me Darkness"He was my darkness and I was his light. We couldn't exist without each other." For me, life was simple. I went to school and studied. I spent time with my friends and stayed out of trouble. I didn't drink or swear and I only dated gentlemen. I was the typical good girl with a bright future. My world seemed perfect. But that was about to change. Ryder Delaney was the one imperfection in my life. He was the bad boy, the black sheep, the one your mother always warned you about. He had only one hard-and-fast rule - Don't fall in love. But some rules were meant to be broken. We were best friends, inseparable since childhood despite our differences. I knew the real man hiding behind the tattoos and bad attitude. He knew all my secrets and dreams. But he didn't know there was one thing I wanted and couldn't have...him. But sometimes Fate has a way of intervening. Soon our world collapsed. War erupted. Darkness prevailed. Alone and on the run, our only goal was to survive and to ignore the feelings we had for each other. But love is powerful... and so is the darkness.

Promise Me Light
The epic conclusion of New York Times bestselling book Promise Me Darkness.
"I'm darkness, Maddie. Stay away from men like me. You'll only get hurt." At one time my life was simple. Easy. But that was before the war. Now I was no longer an average college student. I was a survivor. A woman living in a ravaged world. My future was not bright and my life was far from perfect. The war had taken so much from me… but it wasn’t finished yet. It wanted more. It wanted my heart. My soul. The one person I couldn’t live without. It wanted Ryder Delaney. My best friend. The bad boy. The one person who could fight like no other and love me like no one else. He was the father of my baby. I watched him walk away one hot summer day and I prayed he would return. I needed him like I needed air to breathe and water to drink. Without him I was lost. A light without her darkness. Until he returns, I’ll wait for him. And I believe he will return because love is powerful… And so is the light calling him home.
