REVIEW of For Liberty

Review of For Liberty by Rene Folsom

His letters keeps her going. Her memory is what keeps him fighting.

"A soldier doesn't fight because he hates what is in front of him. A soldier fights because he loves what he left behind."- Maximus

A chance encounter at a kissing booth brings Liberty and Maximus face to face and that's where their love story begins.

Maximus isn't the same boy that Libby had a crush on in high school, he's a man, a soldier.

Their time together is short lived, as Max has to deploy for duty.

Letters are what keeps them together, but for Libby she can only receive them, since Max is on a top-secret assignment.  Those letters are what keeps her going.

When his arrival date comes and goes, Libby doesn't know what has happen. Is something wrong? Has something happen to the love of her life?

While waiting on Max to return to her, she has a huge surprise for when he gets home. He didn't just leave her with his love, he left her with a part of him.

Will Max make it home safely and if he does will he be alright with whats waiting on him?

For Liberty is an amazing, emotional novella, that you will wish was longer. The love that Maximus and Liberty has you can feel it. The letter's made me cry. I have no clue what its like to be a wife/girlfriend of a soldier, but reading this book you get a little taste of it. The waiting wondering and what ifs. Rene Folsom put every emotion in For Liberty that you need for a great read. The letters, oh the letters. The way Max writes to Libby... You just have to read For Liberty yourself to understand. Their is so much feeling in them.
